The decaffeinated roasted coffee has a soft and velvety taste, with a caffeine content of less than 0.1%. The coffee offers a perfect balance between acidity and bitterness, with delicate notes of caramel, chocolate, and roasted bread, and a sweet aftertaste. For optimal enjoyment, we recommend a cup of 25 to 40 ml.
When coffee comes into contact with air, forty percent of the aroma is lost within eight hours. To preserve the coffee, it is usually vacuum-packed. Illy has long used a different technology, which is effective, patented, and exclusive. In illy cans, inert gas is introduced under pressure. This traps, fixes, and protects the aromas for a long time. Just like a fine wine, coffee in illy cans becomes more refined, the taste even rounder, and it is preserved longer. Inert gas (nitrogen) is not an additive and dissolves immediately once the can is opened.
