PRESSURE PACKAGING: EXCLUSIVELY BY ILLY
When coffee comes into contact with air, up to 40% of its aroma can be lost within eight hours. To preserve freshness, coffee is often vacuum-packed. ILLY, however, uses a proprietary, patented technology. Nitrogen gas is injected under pressure into the cans, locking in and protecting the aromas for a long time. Just like a fine wine, coffee in ILLY cans develops a rounder, more refined flavor over time. Nitrogen is not an additive and dissipates immediately when the can is opened.
