Thanks to modern RFID technology, the machine continuously communicates with the filter. The machine automatically detects if a filter is installed and immediately activates the correct mode. The filter also tracks usage and provides timely notifications when replacement is needed. This makes filter replacement simple and effective.
Pure Water for Perfect Aroma
The CLARIS Smart filter works using a professional counterflow principle, filtering exactly the amount of water needed per cup. No stagnant water remains in the reservoir, preventing bacterial growth. In addition to lime, heavy metals and taste- or odor-altering substances like chlorine are removed. Essential minerals for health are retained. The result is pure water, perfect for flavorful coffee specialties and optimal protection of your machine against lime.
Automatic Filter Detection with RFID
Thanks to the RFID chip, your JURA machine automatically recognizes when a filter is installed, switches to filter mode, and starts rinsing immediately. When the filter is nearly depleted, you receive a notification to replace it. If the filter is not replaced in time, the machine automatically switches to descaling mode and a descaling request appears. Descaling is only possible once the filter is removed, preventing incorrect handling.
We recommend replacing the CLARIS Smart filter every 3 months or after approximately 200 liters of water. This ensures your machine stays optimally protected from lime and your coffee aromas remain perfect.
Even when using this smart filter, it is important to regularly descale your JURA fully automatic machine with JURA descaling tablets. This prevents clogs and extends the lifespan of your device.
