How to make a delicious Italian Coffee?

Ingredients for 1 glass:

  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 30–40 ml Amaretto (e.g. Disaronno)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 30 ml unsweetened whipped cream
  • Optional: almond flakes or cocoa powder

Preparation:

  1. Brew a strong cup of hot coffee.
  2. If desired, add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Pour in the Amaretto and stir briefly.
  4. Whip the cream lightly (not stiff).
  5. Pour the coffee into a pre-warmed glass.
  6. Gently spoon the cream over the coffee using the back of a spoon.
  7. Top with cocoa powder or almond flakes.

Coffee Tip:
Use a full-bodied, smooth coffee like the Mocca d'Or Coffee of the House – 100% Arabica or Coffee of the House – Blend. These coffees complement the almond flavor of Amaretto without overpowering it.

Serving suggestion:
Perfect after dinner or on a chilly day. Even better when served with some cantuccini on the side!
